Drones are not just a toy to record videos from the skies anymore. This mini aircraft is moving into the world of art. 15 people manned 100 drones to set a Guinness World Record for the Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, while putting on a choreographed light show. The devices flew while an orchestra performed to Ludwig van Beethoven’s “Symphony No. 5.” The drones were equipped with LED for the event in Tornesch, Germany on November 4, 2015. People on the ground were captivated by what looked like moving constellation formations. Aside from setting a world record, organizers also wanted to show the endless possibilities of UAV’s. Each quadcopter weighs just 1.5 pounds and was able to fly to 328 feet altitude. The software used for this occasion is the same one utilized to inspect bridges and tunnels as well as carrying military operations.
