Around this time last year, my friend and I were walking around Tokyo when she insisted on finding some hot chocolate. It was freezing out so I happily agreed, and we soon found a charming café. Halfway through, she complained that the heater was on too high and the WiFi was too slow. Now, that’s just one example of #FirstWorldProblems, or fussing over things that are relatively trivial. We are all guilty of it. Here are some other examples found on Twitter (@F1rstWrldPrblms): “”” “The lowest brightness setting on my phone is still too bright.” “I can’t reach my laptop so now I have to surf the web on my smart phone.” “Textbooks don’t have control-F so I have to find what I’m looking for like some ancient scribe.” “”” Many of these are specific to our time and are easy to relate to, but have you ever wondered what first world problems looked like before cell phones and their built-in cameras? Before AOL was really available to the public (Note: Members first heard ‘You’ve Got Mail’ in 1989)? **User 24h00 recently asked the AskReddit community to share some first world problems they remember while living in the 1980s, and their responses provide even more reason to consider ourselves lucky:**
