In a series of 148 photos taken over a span of five months, Smith hid a sign with the words, “Will you marry me” somewhere in the background. His leading lady, Claire Bramley, didn’t catch on. Don’t be too quick to call her oblivious; she has been busy preparing for their baby since discovering that she was pregnant last June. According to Metro, it was around that same time that Smith came up with the idea. Smith initially told Bramley that he would be taking pictures to “track the progress of the baby.” To be safe, he always took at least two shots — one with the sign and one without.
