The Earth has definitely been going through its fair share of natural disasters lately. Massive hurricanes have ripped through islands and have caused an immense amount of destruction in Texas. Earthquakes have torn through the ground, leaving rubble in its wake. People have volunteered their time, and sometimes their lives, to help those that were in need. It’s truly been inspiring to watch humans come together in a time of emergency. But, humans aren’t the only ones that are going out of their way to assist others. Our four-legged furry friends are doing their part, as well, and it’s amazing to see.Frida is an adorable labrador retriever with a huge personality. But Frida is way more than just a cute pup.

Frida is an employee of the Mexican Navy’s Canine Unit. Due to an 8.1 Earthquake that hit Oaxaca earlier this month, Frida has been a very busy pup.

Her number one job is to search through rubble and rescue people that are trapped. So far, she’s saved an incredible number of people.

Of those people, twelve of them were in life-threatening situations. Unfortunately, another earthquake recently struck Mexico, so Frida’s not done working, yet.

Everyone knows she’s trying her very best though. Frida’s efforts are certainly worthy of praise.

The President tweeted thanks to Frida earlier this month. “This is Frida. She belongs to SEMAR and has helped save 52 lives in various natural disasters at national and international levels,” he said.

People have been sharing pictures of Frida in her tiny cute boots and goggles. They’ve been letting her know what a good girl she is.

Thanks to her abilities and being so small, she can get into places that humans would have a really hard time getting to safely. Thanks, Frida, you’re doing a great job!
