Coyotes are animals that are often seen as a threat: If one is spotted on your property, your first instinct is to quickly usher all of your small dogs and toddlers indoors until the coyote goes away. Though they can be dangerous, photographer Pamela Underhill Karaz discovered that they have a playful side as well. Underhill Karaz frequently spots coyotes on her property in Trenton Falls, New York. However, one coyote did something that surprised her: After wandering her driveway for awhile, **the coyote picked up one of her dog’s toys and started playing with it**, tossing it up into the air and running through the snow with the toy clenched in its mouth.
