As much as we’d like to forget it, tragedy happens all across the world, all the time. The sadness and grief that humans experience is unavoidable, but what sets us apart from it all is how we choose to deal with it. Sometimes, all it takes to combat tragedy is a bit of connection, kindness, and empathy — and that is exactly what happened at this Dutch Bros coffee shop in Vancouver, Washington. A woman waiting in the drive thru line there witnesses something incredible, a small moment that captured the essence of human compassion. She posted a photo on social media, along with the story: > Snapped this picture while waiting in line at the Dutch Bros on 138th Avenue today. Turns out the young lady in line ahead of us lost her 37-year-old husband last night. When the DB guys & gals noticed she was falling apart, they stopped everything and prayed with her for several minutes, invited her to come back for prayer and support, as well as anything else that she might need. Prayers for the young family, and you know where to stop for coffee!
