You never know what kind of day a person is having, or what might be going through their mind when you encounter them. Considering this, it’s always good to approach people — even complete strangers — from a place of respect, generosity, and kindness. Sometimes, it can make all the difference. When this woman encountered a homeless man picking up change outside of a Dunkin Donuts, she could have avoided him. Instead, she invited him to sit down and talk, buying him a hot coffee and a donut so he could refuel while sharing his story. As you’ll see in the story and photo below, her kindness meant a lot more to this man then she bargained for.
