Reddit user [Meagan Penman][1] went on vacation to Thailand. One day while she was walking on the beach, she came across this poor helpless pup so she decided to do something about it. This is her story. [1]: http://www.reddit.com/user/MeaagsThe poor dog lost the use of his back legs due to a motorcycle accident. His owners didn’t do anything to help his condition. He had to drag his hind legs which gave him wounds. He was also malnourished and covered in parasites.
Meagan felt like she had to help the poor dog. She contacted local rescue agencies, but none of them were able to offer any assistance.
She decided to take the dog home with her to Canada. In order to do so, she had to raise some money to fly him there. It wasn’t cheap.
The dog stayed under veterinarian care while Meagan returned to Canada to prepare for his trip. Meagan set up a fundraiser. She needed help with the expenses.
After two months, the dog was ready to make the trip to Canada. Look at the excitement in his face.
The two were finally reunited. Meagan decided to name her best friend Leo.
Leo is now living in a loving home and he can finally get the medical treatment that he needs.
Leo also suffers from bladder issues which may result in surgery. He’s taking expensive prescriptions and is on a special diet.
Thankfully Leo has received a tremendous amount of support from people who were touched by his story.
The money raised helped Leo walk again.
