Albinism is a rare inherited condition which is explained as a lack of pigmentation that affects the skin, eyes, and hair. People with albinism are sometimes viewed as peculiar in society as they look different from everyone else. Lara and Mara Bawar are helping to change people’s views on the rare skin condition. The 11-year-old twins have embraced their unique features and are slowly taking over the fashion industry. Their striking appearance is pushing against the industry’s traditional beauty standards. Back in 2016, the twins caught the attention of Swiss photographer Vinicius Terranova, who helped to launch them into modeling.
