42-year-old Andres Amador calls himself an “earthscape artist,” and it’s not hard to see why. Using the ground as his canvas and large-scale rakes and combs as his brushes, Amador creates spectacular designs on beaches all over the world, designs that are often as large as a football field. Amador gave up his day job as an environmental scientist over ten years ago to commit himself to his passion, and since then he has made large-scale artwork on beaches from the Caribbean to California. He also uses a camera mounted on a quad-copter to make prints of his work to sell. In this video, Amador is creating sand art at San Francisco’s Ocean Beach in February 2015.
