Patrick Smith found this adorable baby killdeer in a stressful predicament. While taking a cigarette break outside of his offie building, Smith heard the chirping sounds of the bird, and he recognized that it was in distress. After some searching, he found the killdeer stuck upside down in a PVC pipe. After pulling it out, the bird was clearly shaken, but otherwise unharmed. Smith then saw some adult killdeers hopping around nearby, and assumed it was the baby killdeer’s parents.
