Some people assume that animals don’t do anything without a specific purpose: To eat, to mate, to find shelter, or to care for their young. In truth, animals do spend more of their time on practical, purposeful endeavors than humans do, but they also like to kick back, relax, and sometimes, play. Near a waterfall twenty minutes north of Kaikoura, New Zealand, these baby seals have taken it upon themselves to have playtime. It’s almost humanlike how the parents watch from the sidelines and the kids go nuts in the water. Check out the video to see these cute little scamps in action.
