It’s not everyday that an animal like this comes into contact with humans, but when they do, it sure is special. This male Pacific walrus calf was found stranded by the Alaska Sea Life Center in 2012. At the time, the calf was about 4-6 weeks old, and he was spotted by a group of local fisherman. Every so carefully, the walrus calf was observed and eventually taken to the rescue center. Veterinarians weren’t sure how he’d react when he came to the center, but as it turned out, this little (big) guy warmed right up to his new surrounds.
