Lauren Ryan is an artist with a unique talent for creating hyperrealistic animal sculptures, but this California-based creative works with an extraordinary medium. Using nothing more than pipe cleaners, Ryan creates incredible structures in the likenesses of lone wolves and okapis. Ryan creates these sculptures by hand, and only uses the integrity of the pipe cleaners’ structure to keep them together. “I never use glue (to me that is like cheating), and only occasionally use scissors,” said Ryan in an interview.
