Kimberly Henderson is used to receiving compliments for having a ‘perfect body.’ The musician, who gained an online following after her lullaby cover of Whitney Houston’s, “How Will I Know” went viral and mother of four works out regularly. However, she still has stretch marks and loose belly skin. Instead of hiding behind a photoshopped picture depicting a flat, perfectly toned stomach, Henderson is owning her truth and sharing it on social media. Uploading a selfie to [Facebook][1], Henderson shows off her midriff and offers a refreshing perspective: “…everyday I get to wake up to 4 beautiful smiling faces and I’m reminded that they are worth this flabby belly and they are worth these stretch marks.” She adds being a mother is more beautiful than any six pack. It is great to see strong and beautiful women redefine beauty standards and take a stand against mass media that bombards girls and women with unrealistic portrayals of the female form.
