He’s in the lead for the 2020 Democratic primary polls, but Joe Biden seems to be having a hard getting a foothold on the internet. A website, which at first glance appears to be his official campaign website, features clips of Biden touching and kissing women and young girls.
Google gives internet users the parody website JoeBiden.info as the top result when “Joe Biden 2020” is searched. The website features two rows of GIFs of the former Vice President doing what he recently publicly apologized for after many women came forth complaining of their unprofessional encounters with Biden.
The hero header on the website reads: “Uncle Joe is back and ready to take a hands-on approach to America’s problems!” The website reads. “Joe Biden has a good feel for the American people and knows exactly what they really want deep down. He’s happy to open up and reveal himself to voters and will give a pounding to anybody who gets in his way!”
The parody website also offers some of the common criticisms of Biden when he was a U.S. Senator, including his support of the crime bill of 1994, which prepared the way for mass incarceration by establishing mandatory minimums for criminals. The site also highlights his support of the U.S. invasion of Iraq, among other issues listed under “Joe’s Legislative Accomplishments.”
Of course, the website included the most recent controversy about his son, Hunter Biden, who had a position as a board member at a Ukranian energy company. It was during the time of Russia’s invasion of Eastern Ukraine while the Obama administration was deciding which path to take.
Biden had admitted to the public that he made threats to the Ukranian president to terminate the prosecutor, who was in charge of the investigation of corruption at the company where Hunter Biden held the position as a board member. The prosecutor was terminated and faced a lot of harsh criticism from the people of Ukraine and international officials for not bringing enough corruption prosecutions.
The website also offers parody Joe Bidden 2020 t-shirts available and shipped through Amazon. The disclaimer seen at the bottom of the page states:” This site is political commentary and parody of Joe Biden’s Presidential campaign website. This is not Joe Biden’s actual website. It is intended for entertainment and political commentary only and is therefore protected under fair use. It is not paid for by any candidate, committee, organization, or PAC. It is a project BY AN American citizen FOR American citizens. Self-Funded.”
It is a mystery who is responsible for the JoeBiden.info website. The history of the registry reveals that the domain was actually used as an official website for Biden at one time, but it has changed many hands over time.
Someone reported to CNBC that they sent an inquiry through the website’s contact form asking questions. The reply stated the owner of the site is “closest to a libertarian.”
The person also wrote: “I would assume Biden’s campaign knows about it though by now. I get thousands of Biden supporters coming to the site every day who fail to realize that it is a parody — asking for volunteer information, donation information, suggestions on how to handle the [Anita Hill] situation, or criticizing his use of ‘All men are created equal’ — no joke. ”
