Harry Scott is loving McDonald’s. The 91-year-old visits the fast food restaurant six times a week for his regular Happy Meal in the early afternoon. Sometimes he will go back for dinner. Scott’s wife Martha passed away six years ago. With no children of his own, the elderly man became lonely. In 2013, he began going to MacDonald’s daily, eating alone all the while becoming friends with the staff. Described as “bubbly and full of life” by the workers, Scott even has his own table. For his birthday the employees set up a banner and balloons to celebrate with him. The group gifted him with whiskey, shortbread, and a free Happy Meal. Turns out from now on, Scott’s meals are on the house.
