[Hal Lasko](http://www.hallasko.com/), also known as Grandpa, worked as a graphic artist back when everything was done by hand. During WWII, he worked for the military drafting maps. After his military career, Lasko worked on creative projects for several companies including American Greetings which he retired from in the 1970’s. Lasko has wet macular degeneration which causes blindness in the center of his vision. He thought his painting days were over but things changed for him when his family gave him a gift for his 85th birthday – a new PC loaded with Microsoft Paint software. Now, Lasko spends ten hours a day moving pixels around his computer paintings.
He hopes that people who see his work will understand that age and handicaps may challenge you, but they shouldn’t stop you from pursuing what you love. Lasko’s prints are available [online](http://hallasko.com/). Watch the video.
