Look at these amazing photos by Swedish Artist Erik Johahanson. When you’re finished, **look at them again.**

At first glance, Johannson’s pictures appear to be completely normal. However, if you study them for awhile, you realize that there are all kinds of tricks going on in the frame – and that’s exactly how Johannson likes it.

These images are a combination of photographs and retouching. Johannson’s work is personal, but he also accepts commissions from all over the world. In fact, the upside-down cars were commissioned by the Australian Traffic Accident Commission as part of a campaign to prevent driving under the influence.

So, how does he do it? Every photo you saw here consists of dozens – sometimes even hundreds – of different images. However, Johansson layers and retouches the photos in such a way to make the image look as thought it *could* have been captured. In other words, even though these are illusions, his goal is to make them seem as realistic as possible!
