Apparently, there are two schools of thought on the matter, and each one of them is terrifying in and of itself. See what they did to escape each time — and make some mental notes should this scary (but ultimately survivable) situation happen to you.It looks terrifying, but there is a way out.
Statistically, quite a few people die in this way every year.
The answer is pretty surprising.
That means it’s basically impossible to get out.
You just have to be patient.
That way, the pressure is the same on each side.
Just make sure that you’ve taken a deep breath before your head gets submerged.
This is riskier, and only works if you’re fully aware of what’s happening. Ideally, you open the door before the pressure hits, and you can wiggle out as the car sinks.
But this is only possible if someone else is around, or if your car hasn’t yet gone too deep.
So while it’s survivable, try to do your best to avoid it.
