At St. Joseph High School in Santa Monica, California, the core values of the students, faculty, and staff center around Christian compassion, philanthropy, kindness, and giving back to their community. Recently, the cross country team decided to reflect those values in the most adorable possible way — once you see what they did, you won’t be able to help but smile. Instead of just embarking on their usual morning run, the team decided to bring along some very special guests: Adoptable dogs living at the local shelter, who rarely have a chance to exercise. Watching the video, you can see how overjoyed these animals are just to be included, proving that this act of kindness was basically the best idea ever. “St Joseph Cross Country runners, YOU ARE AMAZING,” reads one comment on the video, posted on Facebook. “Thank you all for giving these shelter dogs exercise, joy and companionship … all the while making these dogs more adoptable!” Check out the clip of the run below — and make sure you watch until the end to catch a glimpse of the cutest (albeit laziest) dog on the trail.
