Cat lovers, this one’s for you. Based in Estonia, Catsu The Cat is a small family business run by Daria, her DBF (dear boy friend) known only as “D,” and their cat and muse, Dita. According to their official site, Daria is responsible for the artwork, some of which is showcased below, while D provides editing skills, motivation, and support. The family has produced small batches of designer items featuring a “little black cat” with a “crazy look,” a character they obsessed over. They have distributors in Russia and Latvia, and thankfully for the rest of us, they also have their very own web shop. The web shop includes delightful goods such as zodiac collection pins, whimsical postcards, and socks, all featuring Catsu. As you might’ve guessed, Catsu is based on the the pronunciation of “cat” with a Japanese accent. Keeping in theme, the comics are similar to manga and are painfully and adorably relatable. As strange as our cats can be, we wouldn’t have them any other way.
