The thing about cats is, they really don’t like listening. Most cats would rather exist in a world where they have to listen to no one, free to do as they please and not have to deal with anyone’s silly objections. Most of the time, cats just want to be left alone and not be spoken to, completely unencumbered by the burden of their humans and the dogs that happen to exist in the same space as them. And, because they’re so unapologetically themselves, they have no problem letting people know. Because when it’s time to shush, it’s time to shush.
