John Cena has been dubbed the next Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Like his predecessor, Cena, has been transitioning from the world of tight spandex as a wrestler for the World Wrestling Entertainment to Hollywood actor. He has appeared as the emotionally vulnerable boyfriend in *Trainwreck,* as well as a drug dealer in *Sisters*. His fans may not know this but Cena married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau in 2009, but it all fell apart when the wrestler filed for divorce after three years of marriage. What ensued was two months of disputes, the two settled amicably in 2012. The experience of the break-up and what that meant financially, may have made been the reason he took extreme precautions in his next romantic relationship.Throughout his career, he has won 25 championships. Among his many wins; 16 are for the world champion and three as WWE’s World Heavyweight Champion.
He also loves wearing T-shirts with the catch phrases “Never Give Up, Cenation,” and “Hustle, Loyalty, Respect.”
He raps his own WWE theme song, “Basic Thuganomics.”
Although he is highly popular among the 14 and under crowd.
The wrestler, model, and actor has been with the WWE since 2007. She was part of the wrestling team with her twin Brianna.
She was 20 when she tied the knot but the marriage was annulled three years later.
“She’s truly the love of my life, and she deserves to be treated as such. Because we’re in the same industry, she truly understands that there will be fans that are looking for a different sort of admiration, but it takes two to be disrespectful, and I would like to think that in most every encounter, I try to treat her with as much respect as I can,” he told US magazine.
Although, many of her wrestling opponents claim Bella has climbed the ladder in the entertainment wrestling world because of her relationship with Cena.
“No matter how hard I work I’m always going to have people take away everything I do because of Johh,” she went on to say. “I have to work so much harder being with a successful man to just prove myself.”
Still, not everything is glitzy glamour in their lives.
“Would I love to marry you? Absolutely. I love you…What I’m afraid of, and this is the one thing I’m very much afraid of, if we were to get married tomorrow, and then you come to the conclusion that you want children, you know where I stand. In no way would I ask you to sacrifice anything for me,” Cena said to Bella in one of Total Divas’ episode.
“I wanna know that there’s going to be a chance that there could be one day that, it is Mr. and Mrs. Cena, or there might be a chance that one day, we do have a kid,” Bella said. “I know this is probably going to be a tough conversation, but I gotta just voice myself. I gotta just tell him how I feel.”
“I’ve been upfront about this. I just have things I need to get done. It’s not negotiable. We’ve been to therapy over it,” he explained. “I don’t think it will ever be over with…I don’t want kids, I don’t want marriage. That’s me just saying, ‘Hey, this is my life and this is how I’m going to live.'”
He has also participated in anti-bullying campaigns, wearing “Rise Above Hate” and “Be a Star” T-shirts. Furthermore, he was part of the public service announcement for “We Are America,” which was part of the Love Has No Labels campaign.
Nonetheless, he does not want to raise one of his own.
During an episode of Total Divas, Cena recommended a prenup to former wrestler John Laurinaitis, who married Bella’s mother.
“And that’s—it wasn’t a one-page, it’s a 75-page agreement,” Cena revealed.
“And those who buy a handgun for self defense pray, pray they never have to use it. Without it, it’s a dog fight,” he explained.
Wrestling fans got to see this during an airing of WWE in 2014.
She had already began packing her stuff into boxes when she was given this less than romantic document.
“This is what my life is, this what it’s become,” he explained in the November 23, 2014 video clip.
At the time, one of John’s four brothers had moved in with their mother as his wife was expecting a child, consequently, Cena was helping him financially. And no, the mother had not paid for that house, Cena bought it for her.
“I always tell them I am a horse s**t brother but I try my best, be the best provider I can be,” he opened up. “I just don’t ever want to be in a position where that is in jeopardy.”
“If I had the money, I’d want to support my family. And I’d be dammed to let anyone take that away from my family,” she said.
