A Louisiana fifth grader Lacey Parker watched her older sisters become cheerleaders, and in order to someday make the squad, she practiced every night at home. However, the odds were stacked against Lacey – she has Down’s Syndrome. Despite that, her family, teacher, and principal encouraged her to try out for the team. On Friday, the names of the girls who made the squad were posted, and Lacey got to find out if she was one of them. **Her reaction will bring tears to your eyes.**
Can’t even put into words how excited she is!!!! I am the proud mom of an NDMS cheerleader!!! (Again) lol Posted by Renee Parker on Friday, May 1, 2015
