If there is a video you need to watch and share with friends and family, this is it! [St John Ambulance][1] released this video showcasing small things that can be found in any home with small children such as a crayon, a princess, a pen cap, a jelly baby and marbles. Despite looking innocent enough, these small items can be hazardous and deadly when swallowed by a baby or child. The very items that are potentially dangerous are used as animated characters called The Chokeables. The video teaches two easy techniques that can be performed to ensure a child’s airway is cleared. If that still does not work, it is encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately. SJA estimates 40% of parents have had situations when their children have choked. Alarming, four-fifth of the parents questioned did not know what to do. Please share this video, it could save a life a child’s life.
