Peas and carrots, peanut butter and jelly, salt and pepper, Coca-Cola and….milk? This Coca-Cola and milk mash-up is pretty epic, even though the end result looks questionable. The reaction is caused by the presence of phosphoric acid, not only in the soda, but the milk, too. Phosphoric acid molecules in the Coke attach to those in the milk, bulk them up, and separate them. That makes the milk-cola mixture rise to the top. As time goes by, the reaction inside the closed bottle continues, and what’s left over is nothing but a milky cola-foam that doesn’t even seem pourable, let alone drinkable! However, you may be surprised to learn that this combo can actually be quite delicious. Think about it: Milk is the main ingredient in ice cream, and ice cream and Coke together is a tasty treat that no one would turn down. The reaction is the same as the one in this video, if not a bit sweeter!
