It’s not always the easiest thing to maintain great health, especially when you have a busy lifestyle. This couple realized that their health was suffering, so they decided to make some drastic changes in their life. After one year of hard work, the couple has lost an unbelievable amount of weight. Now, they’re here to tell you the secrets that made it happen!For most of Jasmine’s life, she was happy with the way her body looked. Up until 2012, she was in great shape, but then heartbreak took control of Jasmine’s life.
Food became Jasmine’s comfort. Instead of working through her emotions and handling them on the spot, she hid behind food to make herself happy. “I started to emotionally eat. I didn’t realize how unhappy or how anxious I was because it was just my norm,” explained Jasmine.
Jasmine stepped on the scale after having her second daughter and was disgusted by the number she saw. As much as Jasmine loved being a mother, she ended up weighing 100 pounds more than she should have.
“I looked at myself in the mirror and I was in so much pain. My knees were shot. My back hurt and I was tired. My anxiety was so bad I didn’t want to leave the house.” Jasmine knew that her health was suffering, but it wasn’t until she saw an old friend that something really clicked.
Every year, they take the same picture together to celebrate their many years of friendship. When Jasmine looked at the picture from 2017, she realized that she needed to make some drastic changes in her life.
Like many people who are ready to make some health changes, the couple wasn’t sure where they were supposed to start. So, they decided to do a bit of research, and after some digging, they found a plan that was going to work.
They cut out sugars and processed foods. And they started filling their meals up with fruits, veggies, lean proteins, grains, and beans. After one month, Jasmine lost 17 lb and Jeremy had lost 20! “I had more energy and was more focused. Seeing the results is so motivating and such a driver. I think, ‘What can I do next month?’” Jasmine explained.
“In my mind, it was only 25 minutes. It was something I could sustain,” explained Jasmine. Doing small portions every day made it much easier for Jasmine to avoid the negative self-talk that people tend to experience. After 10 months, Jasmine and Jeremy lost a combined 215 pounds, and it was all thanks to the steps they used on a daily basis.
If you try to follow a routine that doesn’t suit you or your lifestyle, then you’ll have a much harder time succeeding. “People should do research and find something that’s gonna work for you. Find what is going to be sustainable,” said Jasmine.
“There are so many diets and fads and things people want you to put your money in but there is no quick fix. It is going to be hard and it is going to take work but it is worth it,” she explained.
“It completely changed everything,” she explained. “We really fed off each other’s energy and it was a lot easier having someone eat the same meal as me.” Pick a reliable workout body and you’ll be well on your way to your ideal weight!
