It’s very cruel but common for people to abandon their pets in remote areas such as the Florida Everglades. It’s a dangerous place for pets. Their chances of getting attacked by alligators, snakes, and other wild animals is extremely high. When rescuers from [Hope for Paws][1] finally got to one dog named Daisy, she was in terrible shape. Worse, she was completely untrusting and terrified, and wouldn’t let anyone get close to her. In fact, the only way that these rescuers were able to finally collect her was because she collapsed.
