Seven-year-old Daniel has been diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, a fate that no child should have to contend with. The disease means constant doctors appointments, difficulty breathing, and often, having to wear a port in your chest. Despite bullying at school, Daniel tries to look at the bright side of things — After all, doesn’t having a port in your chest make you kind of like Iron Man and his arc reactor? Daniel’s mom decided to reach out to Iron Man, otherwise known as Robert Downey Jr, and let him know how much Daniel looks up to him. Downey’s response will warm your heart, and possibly bring a tear to your eye.

If this reaches him and Daniel could get a reply I hope that it could help him through his stay in hospital as it is starting to take its toll on.**
