Most people think that training a dog relies primarily on using loud commands and calls. But what if your dog happens to be deaf? According to this dog owner, training a deaf dog is not as difficult as you might imagine. As long as your pup is attentive, you can simply substitute vocal commands for sign language. As it turns out, deaf animals learn exactly the same way that hearing animals do: Using a rewards system. As you’ll see in the video, the owner uses “doggy sign language” and acts out a serious of commands with her hands. In order to let the dog know that it’s responding properly, she rewards him with a treat. At seven months old, this little guy is already proving himself to be a quick learner!
