“There’s no easy way to say goodbye to a friend, especially when they’ve supported you through your darkest times.” That’s the touching tagline of photographer Ben Moon’s latest piece, a deeply moving tribute to his dog, Denali. The short film captures the pairs relationship, from the fun times they had together to the sad moments when they leaned on each other for support. The film won both the People’s Choice Award and the Best of Festival Award when it screened at the 5Point Film Festival this year, and rightfully so: It is a tremendously moving story, especially for those of us who know how powerful the relationship with an animal can be.
