This is a kind of dog rescue story that we’ve never seen before. Yes, the dog was abandoned. Yes, the dog was neglected. Yes, the dog was subsisting off of the kindness of strangers. However, this particular animal had a problem that not many in his situation have: He was morbidly obese. The dog was living at a gas station on the outskirts of Brazil, and he was being fed by passersby. Unfortunately, the food people were giving him wasn’t healthy for dogs, and he ballooned up to over 80 pounds. Rescuers decided to intervene, and what happened next is truly incredible.
