Norma and her husband Leo had been married for 67 years when something tragic happened: Leo died in hospice after a battle with cancer, and Norma was diagnosed with cancer of her own two days after his death. Having watched her husband wither away, Norma decided that she wasn’t going to do the surgery, radiation, and chemo recommended by her doctor: Instead, she was going to see the world. And so, at just 101 pounds and 90-years-old, Norma embarked on a journey across the country that was all about living her best life, with the time she had left.
