Lisa knows her daughter is a good, trustworthy teenager but when she found a suspicious bag at home, she could not help but jump to conclusions. 16-year-old Ashley Banks wanted to lend her calculator to a friend for an exam, the Texas teen texted her mom to find the device for her in her room. Instead, her mom found a ziplock bag with what appear to be drug capsules. Naturally, Lisa wanted answers immediately. Ashley, however, assumed her mom was pulling a prank on her. “I thought she was playing a joke on me, because my family likes to play jokes on each other. Then she sent the long paragraph and I was like, oh my gosh, she’s serious,” explains Ashley. Ashley has shared the text exchange on her Twitter account, garnering over 44,000 retweets and 58,000 shares. It’s not clear whether or not her mom found the calculator. After learning the content of the capsules, Lisa still wanted to know why her daughter bought them to begin with.A parent’s worse nightmare is discovering unmarked drugs in their kids room.
