The world is changing, and the result of that is people coming up with new, more sustainable ways to live. One of those ways is Earthships, a community of resourceful people in Taos, New Mexico, living in off the grid homes that are built almost entirely from repurposed materials. The concept of the Earthship was invented by a man named Michael Reynolds, who has observed the progress of global warming over the years and wanted to create homes that could withstand the ever-changing environment of the world. The community who live in Earthships often receive flak from the locals — some even calling them “gopher people,” but from the looks of it, these folks have stumbled upon a compelling way to live.
