By now, you’re probably familiar with Elf on the Shelf, the new Christmas concept that involves parents positioning an elf doll in different places all over the house when the kids are sleeping. The idea is that the elf is magic, and is always watching what the kids are doing to report it back to Santa. It sounds creepy, but children love it, and the Elf on the Shelf toy is flying off the, well, shelves. Over the past few weeks, Megan Wynberg has been sharing photographs of her husband, Joe, decked out like the elf in different places around their home. She introduced her friends and family to the elf with the name “FLE,” and told her kids that he was always watching. As it turns out, FLE is a lot more disruptive than she planned.
