Not every city allows for fireworks due to the potential of fires. Sarah Illenberger has a solution for those of us loving the colorful light shows. She has created a series called *Flowerwork* using flowers in place of firecrackers. Set in a black background to simulate the night sky, Illenberger arranges the blossoms to bring the colors alive. What comes about is exactly what we have all loved at midnight every year. An explosion of every hue, the falling sparkles and the burst of shapes. Based in Berlin, Illenberger is a multidimensional artist delving in graphic design, photography and jewelery. She has enjoyed exhibitions in Paris, Tokyo and Berlin. She is known to join forces with other artists and photographers. For this project she collaborated with photographer Sabrina Rynas.
