The city of Kounosu, Japan celebrated their 13th annual Kounosu Hanabi Taikai Festival with a 15,000 shell display that ended with a world record-breaking 460kg rocket that burst into a beautiful fiery ball measuring 800 meters (2624.67 feet) in diameter. There were over 600,000 people to witness the multi-colored pyrotechnics, including a representative from Guinness World Records to verify that the explosive was the heaviest firework ever to be set off.
