Quite often we categorize inconveniences or simple pet-peeves as real life problems. Water is Life offers a new perspective and helps us all realize there are real problems in the world that need our attention. This videoclip features people from impoverished areas of the world complaining about “first world problems.” The purpose of this video is to provide a stark and unflinching view of issues affecting the lives of people living without clean water. One in five children under the age of five die every 21 seconds from waterborne illnesses. Also, one in six people on the planet do not have access to clean water. These statistics are scary, but definitely frame the sheer insignificance of we what we consider in the first world, as problems.
