Trump’s Looking For More Foreign Workers As The Southern Border Is Being Flooded

Trump’s Looking For More Foreign Workers As The Southern Border Is Being Flooded March 8, 2021

For the past month, Trump has changed his opinion regarding the influx of immigrants coming to the country. Despite the fact that the United States has reached record levels of 1.2 million new legal immigrants coming into the country every year, President Donald Trump is interested in allowing even more of them to come in.

Trump first started speaking about allowing more legal immigrants into the country during his State of the Union address, where he was quoted saying that he wanted to allow “the largest numbers ever” of legal immigrants into the country.

Now, for the fourth time in a month, while sitting around a table with corporate executives and outsourcers for U.S. jobs like the CEO for IBM, Ginny Rometty, Trump said that he wanted to increase the number of legal immigrants coming into the country in order to benefit the corporations. “We want a lot of people coming in … We want to have the companies grow, and the only way they’re going to grow is if we give them the workers, and the only way we’re going to have the workers is to do exactly what we’re doing,” said Trump.

In comparison to the commitments that Trump made in 2015, 2016, and 2017, where he made a vow to reduce the number of immigrants coming into the country in favor of American workers, Trump has made a complete turnaround in his opinion.

While Trump is asking for more foreign workers to enter into the country, foreign nationals looking for work are showing up at the southern border in droves. The continuous increase of illegal immigration is apparently a direct relation to the comments that Trump made about wanting more foreign workers.

Lou Dobbs of the Fox Business Network spoke about his concerns regarding Trump’s continuous demands to increase the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country. He also pointed out that the same day that the record border crossing numbers were announced, Trump made his announcement, as well.

Lou Dobbs has said: “That Mr. Trump would advance the interests of the globalist elites ahead of our citizens would be a tragic reversal on any day. But today … that the southern border is being overrun by a record number of illegal immigrants, it all means that the White House has simply lost its way.”

In February alone, more than 76,000 illegal immigrants and inadmissible foreign nationals attempted to cross the border, which is the most that it’s ever been in the past 12 years. The people crossing the border are apprehended at first, and then the majority of them are released into the interior of the country. Officials from the Department of Homeland Security and researchers have projected that there could be close to a million illegal immigrants attempting to cross the border, with 500,000 of them successfully doing so.

A large majority of the illegal immigrants crossing the border are coming from Mexico and Central America. The Center for Immigration Studies has stated that almost 78% of the people coming from Honduras, and 91% of people coming from Guatemala, are arriving at the southern border looking for jobs, which is not a valid claim for asylum seekers.

Globalist political establishments have praised mass migration for economic relief in the past in order to fill labor shortages, but according to wage and job date, there is no labor shortage in the United States at the moment. According to a Harvard/Harris poll, 3-in-4 Americans prefer politicians who are in support of an immigration system that benefits the jobs and wages of American citizens, not corporations and businessmen. While Trump used to be for “America First” legal immigration reform, he’s changed his tune to be in favor of the corporations.
