Though they might look like scenes out of a futuristic action movie, the following images are actually of an actual city in 2015 – London, in fact. Though it might be hard to believe, photographer [Vincent Laforet][1] took the shots from a helicopter at 6,000 feet, capturing the British capital’s sprawling metropolis with a very interesting eye. LaFloret’s photos are an experiment in light and color, which is incredibly intense in each shot. According to the photographer, this is because of the increased usage of LED light in cities. Here’s what he had to say about the project: > Big Ben is a wonderful example of the different types of lights and their color temperatures due to the older yellow (sodium vapor) and the green (fluorescent) mixed in with magenta (fluorescent) and white daylight balanced LED lights. I find this to be one of the most fascinating aspects of this AIR project: had we shot it just a few years ago, you’d have see much more monochromatic (mostly yellow) lighting throughout the cities … It would simply not be the same and not nearly as visually appealing. Check out his incredible photos below, and remind yourself that you’re not watching *Tron*. [1]: http://www.laforetvisuals.com/
