Frankenstein-esque reanimation isn’t technically possible, but despite that, we’re going to have to go ahead and argue that this is just about as close as it gets. The video below shows it happened in real-time. It’s a frozen fish that, for all intents and purposes, looks extremely, totally dead. Then, they place it into a tub of water with another fish and, well, you can guess what happens next. Naturally, people have taken to the Internet to explain the situation, and most agree that this isn’t a case of resurrection. “It wasn’t in freezer that long, just enough to slow its heart down,” suggested commenter. “I’ve seen this in person dozens of time,” claimed another. “Ice fishing in New England with extreme cold temperatures. Catch some yellow perch and they freeze almost instantly.
