We normally see precious gems and stones in the context of jewelry. And while they look incredible as earrings, rings, and necklaces, there’s something even more beautiful about them in their true, raw form. When it comes to gems like this, most of them form in the mantle of the Earth, but are mined in the crust. As you may know, the crust of the Earth is made from igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rock. Different gemstones come from the three different types of this rock, and some even utilize all three types during their formation. Naturally, all of them are incredibly unique and visually stunning.
