[Julian John][1] has found his inspiration. When the Brit moved to the United Arab Emirates four years ago, little did he know that he would be enthralled with the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. John is not your typical expat taking tourist-like photos of the breathtaking and surreal mosque. He captured the absolute genius engineering and architectural accomplishment in his photos. Marble pillars with golden branches, elegant Arabic inscriptions, marble floors with delicate mosaic design seem more like a mirage than a modern wonder. John is confident that the mosque is “the jewel in the United Arab Emirates’ crown” and he confirms that as long as he is living in UAE, he will continue to photograph the monumental and serene mosque.
