This is no ordinary tunnel. [Olafur Eliasson][1] has designed a colourful glass structure that is a kaleidoscope of vibrant colours when walked in one direction. When walked from the opposite end, the mirrors are black. Built for the truss bridge at the [San Francisco Museum of Modern Art][2], the walkway is meant to give the visitors a less than ordinary experience. Eliasson is considered one of the most important artists of his generation. His brilliance is not just limited to design only. His profound creativity is reflected in sculpture, painting, photography, and film. He is also known for producing works that are a feast for the senses, enhancing the art experience for observers by using scent, temperature and light. The Danish-Icelandic artist studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. Involved in humanitarian work as well, Eliasson founded [Little Sun][3]. The global project provides affordable solar-powered lamps to communities with limited or no access to electricity.
