Vadim Rustam was walking down the street in the Russian town of Voronezh when he heard a troubling sound: Somewhere, a dog was barking, and it appeared as if it was below the pavement. Days earlier, city workers had patched the section of sidewalk where Rustam was standing, as a sinkhole had formed. Somehow, they ended up trapping the dog below the surface, neglectfully left to die. Rustam and his family decided to take matters into their own hands, and began to use tools to tear up the pavement. What they discovered below is shocking, but it’s also a huge miracle.
