If you’re a landscape or wildlife photographer, you know that the world isn’t just a place to travel to and observe — instead, many locations serve as the ultimate backdrop for your work. From imposing mountains to picturesque lakes to unbelievable tropical flora, there’s no limit to what the world can provide for an amazing photo. The Salar de Uyuni salt flat, located in Bolivia,is one of those places, and when you see it, you’re going to have a hard time believing that what you’re looking at is actually real. Of course, the beauty of this place exists on its own — but Russian photographer Daniel Kordan takes it to the next level. He traveled to the flat to capture a set of photos depicting the Milky Way being reflected by the flat, and the resulting images seem like they’re from another planet.
