He Used To Hand Out His Resume At A Train Station… Now He’s Back Doing Something Better. April 1, 2023Leave a comment

We have all been there. The thrill and exhilaration of reaching a major milestone only to be stonewalled with the thought, “well, now what do I do?” The excitement of graduating from post secondary school is no different. Finding a job can be as time-consuming and stressful as preparing for finals. Many graduates are faced with the vicious circle of not having enough experience to secure employment while being mindful that experience is built on the job. One recent graduate, Alfred Ajani completed his degree in marketing from England’s Coventry University. After applying to hundreds of jobs in vain, 22-year-old Ajani decided to take matters in to his own hands. Ajani went to the Waterloo train station and handed out resumes. He also held a sign outlining his qualifications. The self-promotion worked and Ajani got employers to take notice. Working for [The Asoria Group][1] as a marketing and PR projects manager, Ajani took a new sign to the same train station. The new message reads differently, “Now I’m Hiring.” Ajani’s advice to job seekers is simple, “don’t be scared to try something new. Safe is risky.” [1]: http://www.asoriagroup.com/
