Three years ago Scott David Laufer told his mother how depressed he was. She sent him a set of oil paints hoping to cheer him up and keep him busy while he was unemployed. Laufer loved art as a child, it made him happy. When he received the paints, Laufer immersed himself into the art world. He never had any formal training, but instead he taught himself by visiting museums, studying books, and learning from the masters of the 16th century. He spent endless hours painting, and as you can see from the photos below, Laufer found his calling.
